Tiny Rhythm

Privacy Policy

Tiny Rhythm is a baby-tracking app made by a small family team. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app. It is short because the honest answer is short: your data stays on your iPhone. We never see it.

The summary

• No account. You never sign up, and we never ask who you are.
• No servers. Tiny Rhythm has no backend. Nothing you log is transmitted to us — we could not read your entries even if we wanted to.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, and no third-party code that phones home.
• No selling of data. We have nothing of yours to sell, and we would not sell it if we did.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter — your baby's name, birth date, the optional boy/girl setting used for growth curves, feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, solids, medicines, symptoms, temperatures, growth measurements, doctor visits, milk-stash entries, notes, and any photos you attach — is stored locally on your device, in the app's private storage.

A shared storage area on your device (an Apple "App Group") lets the app, its widgets, and its Live Activities read the same data. This sharing happens entirely inside your device.

Apple Watch

If you use the Tiny Rhythm watch app, entries sync directly between your iPhone and your Apple Watch using Apple's device-to-device connection (WatchConnectivity). The data moves between your own devices and nowhere else.

Backups

• Device backups. Your iPhone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) includes Tiny Rhythm's data, like any app. Those backups are governed by Apple's terms and your Apple account settings, not by us.
• Backup files you export. The app can create a backup file of your entries on request. You choose where that file goes (for example, your own iCloud Drive or Files). It never passes through us. Attached photos are not included in these backup files; they remain on your device and within your device backups.
• A candid warning: because we hold no copy of your data, we can never recover it for you. If you delete the app without a backup, the data is gone. The app's "Your data" screen exists to make backups easy — please use it.

iCloud sync, if a future version adds it

We plan to offer optional syncing between caregivers' devices. If and when that ships, it will work through your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database): data will move between your devices, and devices you explicitly invite, under your own Apple ID and Apple's iCloud terms. It will not create an account with us, and it will not give us access to your data.

Notifications, Siri, and Shortcuts

All reminders (feed reminders, medicine reminders, appointment reminders, timer check-ins) are local notifications, generated and scheduled on your device. There is no push-notification server. If you use Siri or Shortcuts phrases, your request is processed by Apple according to your Apple settings; we receive nothing.

What we do receive

• Nothing automatically. The app sends us no telemetry of any kind.
• Feedback you choose to send. The in-app feedback button composes an email from you to us (meir.amzallag@gmail.com). We then know your email address and whatever you wrote, including the app-version and device lines pre-filled in the draft — which you can edit or delete before sending. We use this only to reply and to improve the app, and we do not share it.
• App Store statistics. Apple shows developers aggregated, anonymized numbers (such as download counts and, if you have opted in to sharing with developers in iOS settings, crash reports). These cannot identify you and are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Tiny Rhythm is made for parents and caregivers; it is not directed at children. The information you record *about* your baby stays under your control on your device, as described above — it is never transmitted to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, adult or child, because the app is built not to collect personal information at all.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give people rights over data that companies hold about them. Our situation is simple: we hold none of your data. Access it, correct it, export it (CSV or backup file), or erase it (delete the entries, or the app) at any time, directly on your device — no request to us needed, and none possible, since the only copy is yours.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, when optional iCloud sync ships — we will update this policy and note the change prominently in the app's release notes before it applies to you.
